Earlier eyeball images were derived from Mapquest, which has recently removed satellite photos from its site. This image is compiled from multiple satellite images downloaded from GlobExplorer which once provided images to Mapquest. Though watermarked, these images provide higher resolution than that once available from Mapquest.
